According to Dr. Grishkevich, SmartLipo™ is the first and only laser-assisted lipolysis system to offer a minimally invasive procedure for the removal of fat. It is a signifi cantly less invasive procedure when compared to other surgical methods of body shaping including liposuction and “tummy tuck” and much more effective than Lipodissolve.
SmartLipo™ allows the surgeon to remove up to eight pounds of fat from multiple areas of the body through several tiny incisions that don’t require stitches and are usually not visible after healing. It’s ideal for women who have retained some fatty areas around their stomach and waist usually associated with skin laxity and sagging after pregnancy. It’s also a superior method for body contouring and reshaping other areas including love handles, saddlebags, backs, thighs, hips, knees, arms, bra area, neck and chin.
SmartLipo™ is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia. The laser causes small blood vessels to coagulate immediately on contact, resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising, and a quicker recovery time than conventional liposuction. Because general anesthesia is unnecessary, the procedure is very safe with only minimal side effects. SmartLipo™ is also less expensive than conventional liposuction because there are no aesthesia or operating room charges.
